The Sudirman Cup Badminton Team Championship every two years and one of the most prestigious titles in the sport. The incident took place for the first time in the stadium Bung Karno, Jakarta, Indonesia 24-29 May 1989 with 28 Nations involved and is now over 50 ethnic groups.
